Good Weather does Wonders
I absolutely LOVE the beautiful, perfect fall weather we have been having! I wish it could stay like this until Christmas, but since it won't we have been taking advantage of it this week. I had so much housework and laundry I should have been doing yesterday (and today) but we went to the park for a few hours instead, both days. It is so nice to sit and talk with friends while the kids run around and have fun! My house work will unfortunately always be here when the weather is yucky so I might as well put it off while it is nice.

Adrie (and Mom) have been learning that growing up is hard to do. Adrie is no longer a binki girl (this is the first time in over 5 years we haven't had a binki lover). Last week Adrie lost her binki somewhere in the house and after searching everywhere we decided it was probably a good reason to start the withdrawel-since she is giong to be 3 in a few weeks it was time. It has gone pretty good, she has cried for it on and off but has survived. The only problem is that her daily 2-3 hour naps have ended with the binki. It is a whole new world having two kids that don't take regular naps! I am having naptime withdrawels. Anyway, yesterday morning Adrie comes running into our room yelling "I am so excited! I found my binki!". I was heartbroken that she was so happy and I knew we were going to have to talk her out of keeping it at this point. So Kris says "don't you think we should throw it away because you are a big girl now?" She sadly agreed and with Kyra's help holding her hand she quietly walked over to the garbage and threw it away! So I have been really proud of her for giving it up because I know how much she loved that thing. Growing up is not very fun sometimes!!

That is so cute! I am going to miss hearing her say, "I want my B" in that cute little voice of hers.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...that is so cute! And, so sad, too! It makes me cry! My cute little Adrie Janai!
XOXOXO
Way to go Adrie!! So proud of you. Cute pictures from the park, Kec! Hope the nice weather lasts for a while.
Good job on quitting the binki. My little girl is waaay too attached to hers. We'll be in your shoes soon.
Good for Adrie - that is awesome!!!! I know how kids can get so attached to those darn binky's. Bailee was in love with hers, but I took it away cold turkey at 15 months. Not an easy thing to do. Good job to you too!!! :)
I love Bree's hair in that picture on the slide, it's so funny! Your girls are great. We need to come up and visit more often!
I'm sure Adrie will give up her binki easier than you will her nap!!! That's tough for those little ones though. Unfortunately, for me, you can't just happen to lose a thumb or decide to throw it away! Growing up is a big job.
The pictures at the park are so fun of the girls! Good job Adrie!!!
it is so great to see them overcome their own obstacles...but at the same time you realize how fast the time has gone by. you have the sweetest girls!
