Ky started off her big day with breakfast in bed....Then opened a few presents before church She is SO excited to take piano lessons! Another Target clearance great! The scooter was 75% off! For her baptism we gave her scriptures with her name on them and a new scripture tote. She was SO excited! Of course the other 2 wanted to hold their little scriptures for the picture with her! It is a very strang/emotional feeling to have a child this age! It was a beautiful day for all of us! The cousins practicing their song before the program....they sang and signed a really cute song called "I know that my Savior loves me" and the sign language...especially watching Bree do it all, brings me to tears every time! Kyra was very lucky to have LOTS of family and friends come and support her! Ky's cute friends Sadie and Halle Roman and Shaley Kyra and her primary teacher Sis. Burkhardt and her activity days leader Sister Julie Ky and her cute friends from our ward, Candace, Jacie and Amber....Jacie is our regular babysitter and they were all my young women when I was in young womens a few years ago. We love them! Grandma Camme and Papa Steve Kyra and Mazie We had lots of yummy food thanks to great family and friends help! Madi and Adrie Kyra and some of the boys in the ward....Jaxon, Cole and Braden Adrie, Ellie, Ky, Avery and Ava bree taking a rest Ky, Chaly and Robert...who is like a grandpa to us Ky and Emma Ky and Halle Bret and Jess kissing Ky Ky's primary president My cute little family Ky and Lyla Grandma LInda and Papa Mike doing silly poses Me and my big girl! I am so proud of her and the girl she is becoming!I cried many times during the day! Ky was REALLY excited to pick out her own white dress and she knew just what she wanted. She looked absolutely beautiful! It was a wonderful day!
We have the very same birthday plate. In fact,it has sat out twice this week in celebration of two birthdays.I have had it for years. It has become one of our most treasured traditions.
You know, since I am lucky to have these 2 "sets" of children,I have been blessed with not only the experience of knowing how precious and fleeting time is but God allows me to see with such clarity the need to cherish all of our moments. They do grow, seemingly right before our eyes, and in an instant they are wanting to spread there wings.
*I think I won the Vinyl Exclamations from you.I am just making the connection now!Timing is perfect as we are moving into a new house and i will miss my old one "Family a journey to forever",when I go.Just let me know how I should go about choosing a new one. Thanks so much.Very excited!
I just love that she got to be baptised on her actual birthday. That is a memory she will have forever. We are so happy to that we were able to be part of that special day (and I love that we can cry together about our kids growing up on us!). Love ya!!
Hi! Just found your blog on the UDSF website. We're from Utah,(American Fork)and we are adopting a 5 year old girl with Ds from Russia, through Reeces Rainbow. It looks like you are already familiar with RR! Your family is gorgeous. Maybe we'll meet some day! Heather
