Easter chicks and egg coloring

(I don't have much time for blogging right now as we are trying to get ready to leave but I wanted to at least get the pictures in even if there is not much writing. )

So my brother in law Cam decided to rent 2 day old baby chicks for the kids to have for the weekend. They LOVED it!!!! Kyra especially loved it!! She even asked if we could just "rent" puppies and pets now since her and Kris have allergies and we can't own pets! Lovely idea Ky, but I don't think that is how it works.








Notice how Adrie is behind the other girls? well she is my sweet little one who is scared of all animals...she trys to like them but she gets REALLy nervous around them. Apparantly even the tiny chicks scared her....
this was what her reaction was when we tried to have her sit by the chicks and one turned towards her!


So she finally was able to hold one in the box...for a minute anyway!


After chick time we colored eggs










Nonni was quite the artist....every year we wonder how this tradition got started to give kids colored dye and think it is a good idea!
