Mia's first Halloween:part 1

all this time on bed rest I have thought that I couldn't, blog from my iPad but it Tur s out I can! so now I can catch up on blogging while I lay here. before I get to Halloween pics....an update on the babies and bed rest.
we go to the perinatologist every Monday....it is my only outing so I look forward to the appts now! things are looking really good so far. the babies are growing and doing well since the surgery. Last week they measured them and I was at 23 weeks and one baby was measuring 22 weeks 6 days and the other was 22 weeks 5 days so they are right on track and have caught up now that they can get nutrients correctly. it is so fun to see baby A with actual room to move now. her fluid is now up to 4.5 and both are out of the danger zones now as far as fluid.
we have been on bed rest for 3weeks now, with about 10 more to go. kris is doing AMAZING with being the mom and dad. he now affectionately refers to me as the couch parent! he does all their hair...even blow drying and straightening, he gets meals and bed time and everything else.
we also have amazing family and friends who are stepping in and helping out so much! I just remind myself every day that although this is hard, I am glad to be doing it if it means we get these girls here safe and sound.

now onto Halloween.....
I haven't figured out how to write text under each picture or how to arrange them differently once I have loaded them so until I do, it wil be a little unorganized.
Mia loved Halloween...I mean a girl who loves food would love going door to door to get treats! I couldn't,t go to anything so Kris and my family covered and took pictures.
the older girls had a parade at school, grandma took them trunk or treating at my brother's high school and Kris took them trick or treating. kyra was a twister game, Adrie was a lady bug with a pink cast, Bree was a strawberry and Mia was a watermelon.

Yay for blogging from the iPad! We're all looking forward to all the posts we'll get to see since you can't get off the couch. So glad to hear the babies are doing well, and, of course, all the girls are adorable!

I am glad to hear the babies are doing well.... I was on bedrest for about 10 weeks with my youngest. I can appreciate how hard it is not to jump up and be the "mom". Praying for you!!

I love the cute Halloween pics :)

such a beautiful family :) love the pictures!! And I just had to laugh at the picture of the wagon being pulled...ahhh I remember living in Louisiana and the warm weather, and being able to wear shorts for Halloween as well. Now we are in the great northwest and you are lucky if anyone even sees your outfit because you have to bundle up so much! Love it!! *hugs*

Dear Kecia,

We don’t know each other but there is something we have in common: the magic of an extra chromosome!

I stumbled upon your blog a while ago (remember those days when you had only 3 girls?),I looked at your family picture and thought to myself: they are kind of like us. We both had 3 daughters and one of them was enhanced with an extra chromosome. Well, things have changed big time (Ha!) and I have to give you lots of credit for…doubling that number in one year. What a wonderful…record! Congratulations!

I just want you to know how much I admire you and your family. You are an amazing person and this world is a better place because of people like you. I think of you and your unborn girls often and pray that they will stay in “there” for another 10 weeks. (Although I can really understand why they can’t wait to meet you guys! Who wouldn’t?!).

We live across the border where on Halloween we wear winter coats and hats. Strawberries and watermelons (any living creature for that matter) would have a hard time going out that night! We had a tooth fairy and two little (very friendly) witches (who wore their costumes on top of the winter coats!).

{We have 3 girls, Alyssa, Alexa and Tianna. Alyssa is 7 and Alexa and Tianna just turned 4 (yes, they are twins). Alexa surprised us at birth with the extra chromosome and little did we know then how amazing our journey will become because of her.}

I will follow your journey and am looking forward to the day you will become a family of 8! Thank you for the update! You are in my thoughts.

Take care,

Anca
