It was always hard for me to think of people terminating pregnancies because of down syndrome or anything else for that matter, but now that I have my precious little Bree it is unthinkable and breaks my heart. She truely has a sweet and special spirit about her that is hard to put into words but she brings so much peace and joy into my heart when I look at her or when I see her smile.
There are a few pictures of her on the utah down syndrome foundation website. One is in their photo gallery and the other is under "our kids" in the "new arrivals" section.
Bree loves to suck her thumb lately and it is so cute to watch her as she tries to get it in her mouth!

thank you for this great blog and sharing your family's story. i am in my first pregnancy right now, and while being offered a battery of tests, in a world filled with the "as long as he/she is born healthy" mentality, it was nice to come across your blog and your beautiful daughter. it's a joy to get to know her even just through pictures and your writing! it gives me added confidence in my belief that my child will be a gift no matter what "conditions" they may be born with.
Once again Bree is so adorable! I agree with you that I just don't get how anyone could choose to have an abortion - a baby is a baby - period.
