Turkey Day Recap

Now that it is the 2nd week of December maybe I should post about Thanksgiving. We had a nice Thanksgiving at my parents this year. The girls LOVED helping get all the food ready the night before and they LOVED playing guitar with Papa.

Thanksgiving morning we went to the traditional Turkey Bowl with some of my cousins

Then headed up to my moms for a FABULOUS meal!

Kyra and Adrie had a great time making all the name tags

Before dinner, Mama and Papa had everyone plant a tulip bulb and then we buried a time capsule of things we were thankful for. Luckily it was nice weather!

The girls...we missed Chaly though

THe girls were really excited to drink out of fancy glasses!

After dinner the cousins put on a show for us all! It was SO cute and all organized! They each had a solo song and then they did group numbers!

The kids slept over at my moms and I did some black friday morning shopping, unfortunately I couldn't round up any company this year. I got pretty much all that I had been looking for but it wasn't near as fun by myself.

Later of black friday we headed to Provo for the November birthdays...Adrie and uncle Rick share the same birthday and Corbin's is the week before.

Corbin and Lindey hosted the party and the kids (and dads) went swimming at their clubhouse.

Saturday we went to get the yearly Santa picture with my family since Chaly and Cam ended up coming for the weekend.
After the Santa picture we went to the lights at temple square

Bree was pretty miserable because she refused to keep a hat or gloves on so she froze

Mom and her boys

My brother and his friend Amelia...who the girls LOVED hanging out with!

Temple square is definitely a must at Christmas and one of my favorite traditions!

Wow! What a fun weekend!! Good idea to go see the lights before it got too cold and snowy. . .
PS I would have gone out shopping with you had I known you were going by yourself! While we were chatting I assumed you were going with someone. Sorry!

I love that you guys planted tulip bulbs on Thanksgiving. Sorry you had to black Friday shop alone. Next year, I think we should all make a big deal of it and go together. It's much more fun with company.
