Ok so I am finally catching up with Oregon pictures and I apologize for the amount of pictures-I couldn't narrow it down very well-there were too many fun ones. We went to a beachouse with all of my family-16 of us for a week and it was a lot of fun! It started out a little like the movie summer rental though. When we arrived at the beachouse to check in the owner was there with like 4 other cars and there were all these people loading up cars with stuff-mostly junk, including mattresses. There were even things being burned in a bonfire in the yard-including a mattress. So mom and dad go inside and come out laughing. The place is a wreck and the lady says it won't be ready to check in for a couple more hours. So here we are stuck after haveing driven through the night with no where to go-and it was starting to rain. So we decide to put a tent up on the beach for a little while and some of the boys even went for some "wave rocking" (aka boogie boarding) while others tried to catch some shut eye in the cars that we had been in for 10 hours! I couldn't believe how well the kids did with all this-they were real troopers! So we finally get into the house and it wasn't exactly like she had described it on the internet. There was only one shower-for 16 people, the "gorgeous firepit" outside was a few cinderblocks thrown on the ground, and the "antique luxurious footed tub" was downstairs in the bathroom of the somewhat scray, unfinished basement. The bathrooms were not cleaned and there was rotten food in the fridge-but she was right about the location, the house was right on the beach! It was actually quite comical and my sisters and I realized what good husbands we married when they were cleaning the bathrooms and had a great attitude and laughed about the whole thing. So once we got the place cleaned up it actually turned out to be a nice little house. It was right on the beach and we even managed with one shower for 16 people!

Hanging out in the tent on the beach

This was Amy (my new sister-in-law)'s first trip to Oregon and Curt had told her how cold it usually is on the beach so she came very prepared! Luckily she only needed it for the first day because the rest of the trip was unseasonablly warm!

The "antique luxurious footed bath" became the hot tub for warming up after a swim in the ocean. Yes they have swimsuits on! Kris thought he was getting a nice warm "hot tub" experience and then we all showed up with cameras and Bret hopped in with him!

Kecia--of course I remember you! Blogging really does make the world smaller :). Thanks for the comment; it's so fun to be reunited with past friends. Ashley is my sister-in-law.
