What more can a stay at home mom ask for in february than sunshine, 50 degrees and free day at the zoo! It has been such a long winter and we are all so stir crazy for fresh air that we jumped at the chance to go to the zoo on the last free day before the season starts again. We were not the only ones who had this idea though-it was PACKED! Moms, minivans, kids and double strollers everywhere you turned! But it was very much needed!

the kids finished off the visit to the zoo by playing on the snow covered playground. They had a great time running around in the fresh air-we were laughing because when we pay to go to the zoo we (the moms) discourage the kids from playing on the playground because we think we are wasting valuable animal watching time that we have paid for, but since it was free this time we let them just run around!

Isn't it great being outside with the kids? Even if there's snow on the ground, it's therapeutic getting out in the fresh air. Cute pictures.

My legs still hurt from hiking those hills! How pathetic. That last picture of the 3 girls is really cute!
I agree that warmer weather is SOOOO nice! May it just keep coming! Looks like a fun day!
