-she is always dressed super stylish
-she is an AWESOME cook and just throws things together and turns it into a delicious meal!
-She is the most selfless and giving person I know
-she ALWAYS puts others needs first
-In high school she would spend the whole day helping me get ready for a dance.-Every (and I mean literally everytime) we came home to visit from college she would take a picture as we were leaving and she would always pack these great goody bags to take with us-along with her famous homemade salsa that my roomates and I lived on.
-She is lots of fun to be around and she will drop whatever she is doing to be with you.
-She LOVES the beach and lighthouses! Every family vacation to the coast includes a trip to a nearby lighthouse!
-She has one sister and they are hilarious when they get together! They have these weird nicknames for eachother-my mom calls her sister "birdbrain"
-She never missed a sporting event, choir concert, play, performance, award ceremony or any other important event in our lives.
-She is a very hip and stylish grandma and my girls love playing with her and having sleepovers at her house.
-She always treats us to "birthday lunches" with the girls and insists on paying even when she shouldn't.
-She used to pack great lunches for us to take to school and she would always include a cute littel note. My friends always looked forward to reading what little words of encouragement or funny thought she had for the day.
- She would wait up for us when we came home from dates or being with our friends and we would usually sit in the kitchen with a bowl of brownie mix (not the brownies) and eat and talk about the night.
- she loves Christmas-so much in fact that she usually leaves up her decorations until easter! One friend in high school used to love betting on how long she was going to leave Christmas up each year.
-she will NEVER eat the last bite or swallow of anything- no matter how hard you try.
-she LOVES taking pictures-sometimes we tease her but we are always glad to look back at all the memories she captures
-she was very involved in my life and my friends loved her. One time in high school my friends and I wanted to "drive by" a boys house and we didn't have our licenses yet so my mom volunteered to take us. She got out a wig on and my friend and I crouched in the back seat as she drove by the house where the boys were just so we could "see them".
-she refuses to eat the blue M&M's-she swears they taste different even though she has failed the taste test many times.
These are just a few of the reasons we love my mom! Hope you had a great day mom! Happy Birthday!

I've seen your mom at the pool and on your blog and I swear she looks way to young to be your mom. You've definitely got the beauty gene in your family! Both of you are so cute! It's fun to read a little bit about your mom. She sounds like a pretty neat lady. Happy birthday Kecia's mom!
