Puerto Vallarta

When we woke up on Tuesday we were docked at the port in Puerto Vallarta for our first shore excursion!

The crew in front of our boat! Our ship was ENORMOUS! It had like 18 decks, held 2600 passengers and 1200 crew members, and LOTS and LOTS of food!

For our excursion we went on a Jeep safari thing. We took a tour with a caravan of Jeep's and went sightseeing to some of the residential little villages. It was amazing to see some of the conditions the people live in. It was really fun for me to go to Mexico with Kris because although this is not the part of Mexico he served his mission in, alot of things were similar and it was fun to see what his life was like for those 2 years he was there. It was also nice to have someone who spoke spanish with us!

They gave us these cool bandana's for the offroading!

The next stop on the tour was the Hacienda and Taquila Factory. We didn't get to enjoy the free taquila at the end though, even though our tour guides kept saying "Remember what happens in Mexico stays in Mexico". After the factory we went back to this adorable little restaurant overlooking the beach and enjoyed quesidillas and nachos!
Mary and I looking tropical at the Hacienda!

This is a view of our boat as we were heading back to it after our excursion.

Some of the sights of Puerto Vallarta!

The view from our balcony for the day!

After our little snack at the restaurant we had a little time to enjoy the beach before we had to be back to the boat.

That night we joined in the "tropical night" festivities on the boat! If only we had known before hand so we could have packed our cool tropical shirts! Once again we enjoyed OUTSTANDING people watching as we sat on the balcony overlooking the party. We did join in some too! We even witnessed the crowning of "Mr. Golden Princess"-the boniest, frailest old man you have ever seen and he was struttin his stuff to win that crown! We saw another great sunset that night too!
