Balloons, Demos, and Bees oh My!

We have been doing a lot of fun stuff with my family the last few weeks before Chaly and Cam had to go home. They have been living in town for the summer and it was SO great having them here! We already miss them (and they just left yesterday)! So here is a catch up post of some of our activities!


BALLOON FESTIVAL-
We got up early last saturday and headed to the balloon festival. The girls LOVED it!

After the balloons we helped Lida and Brandon move into their new house.Bret decided he wanted to try this look for the first day of school-That night we went to the fairgrounds for a good old demolition derby! My family used to go when we were younger and Kris and Cam had never been to one before so we made a date night out of it with Chaly, Cam, mom, dad, B & J and Devin. It is a good thing Kris brought his umbrella (pictured above) though because we got POURED on-THREE times while at the derby! We stayed a lot drier than most because we had an umbrella but even with that we got quite wet. It definitely added to the adventure of the evening! The actual demo part was lots of fun but it wasn't run very smoothly so it took like 45 minutes between each heat-making for a long night. We were just glad we had left the girls at home with a babysitter.So if you have never been to a demolition derby you should try it sometime-it is quite the event!

BEES GAME-

For family night we went to the Bees game. It was perfect weather and the girls had fun on the blow up slides before the game started. They were really excited to meet the Bee too!

G.N.O-

We ended the week with a final G.N.O to the outlets. We did some shopping and found really cute sweaters and bought practically one of each color. Then we topped off the evening with some yummy Cafe Rio. Thanks girls for a fun outing! Thanks to the men for watching the kids for us! It has been so much fun having Chaly here the last few months and we are really going to miss them!
