Sunny Arizona
We were able to take a little roadtrip to Mesa Arizona last weekend with all the adults in Kris's family. His youngest sister Shaley is getting married next week and her fiance Roman is from Mesa so we all went there to their open house.
The cute couple of the night!
Kris was REALLY excited to be there!
The open house was at his parents house and his sisters....
and his mom and her friends put on a cute little program .
Sydney (Roman's mom)

Caitlyn and Tadd
Corbin was very into this toy car all night
We got to see our old and dear friends Mark and Brooke. This is Kris and Tadd listening intently to Marks stories about Brain surgery (yeah that's right Kris's best friend from college is a brain surgeon)
We all forgot how TALL Mark is....especially next to Lacey
It was SO fun to see Mark and Brooke and stay at their house there in Mesa! We had lots of laughs remembering the good old days of dating at Ricks college together. Mark and Kris played basketball together and roomed together there and Brooke and I were both dating them at the same time. We did everything together and we really haven't seen them for more than a quick hello in like 8 years.
Wow am I short next to this crew !
It was fun to have the whole family (adults anyway) together..we have never been on a family vacation with everyone until now.
Shaley decided to go through the Mesa Temple and it was really neat to have the whole family there together. That is the benefit of being the youngest...you get the whole family with you in the temple!

The Mesa Temple was BEAUTIFUL! It reminded me of a Mayan ruin.
On the grounds they had this awesome cactus garden!
Corbin workin it for the camera! Corbin and Lindey were our traveling car mates for the LONG ride and we had a blast with them.

After the temple we went out to eat and then over to ROman's parents to watch them open presents
That night we went to the Diamondbacks game!

THe stadium was HUGE! It was also indoor/outdoor. Part way through the game they opened the roof up and since we were at the VERY top of the stands we could see airplanes flying overhead that looked like they were just above your head. IT was a really fun stadium

After the game we rounded up a crew of the bike taxis and took a fun ride back to the cars.

Brooke was home with sick kids so Mark brought his son Talmage with us
On the way home we got to drive over the Hoover Dam. It was pretty cool to see!

When we got home the girls had decorated the kitchen with Bendaroos
and made this cute Bendaroo garden to welcome us home. Thanks to Curt and Amy for watching the kids for us!

Cutest blog(except for the shot of that old lady singing). It was fun to meet the whole family. Be sure and come for a visit when the weather isn't so blasted hot. You guys were really kind to support Shaley and Roman in such a big way.
Holy cow, what a fun trip! I'm so glad you were able to go. You all look great! And, really 118 degrees?!?!? That is way too hot!
Those pics of the temple are amazing...so cute!!
Looks like such a fun trip. You fit in lots of fun activities. I love the cute spider chair backs you brought back for the girls. I'm sure they LOVED them. now when are we going back to AZ?
