Thanksgiving festivities

Happy Thanksgiving-late! We had a wonderful holiday with LOTS of food, relaxation and some great early bird shopping with friends! Our turkey day weekend included some of the following:

Reading Christmas books with Papa........

Bree figuring out how to stand without holding onto anything (she is quite intrigued by this new found talent-she can stay up for a few minutes now and keeps getting better and better at it)......

Riding in Papa's wood train........

Getting out Papa's tree train.........

Some Tinkerbell puzzles (note: I was the one who actually worked on the whole puzzle with the girls but somehow Kris moved in for the final pieces and gets credit for it)........

After a YUMMY dinner we all decorated gingerbread houses........

Celebrated Adrie's, Uncle Rick and Uncle Corbin's birthdays (Rick and Adrie have the same birthday)...........

Decorated the tree.........
And the house..........

I am grateful for all that we have and am excited for this Christmas season ahead!!

So before I read the caption under the puzzle picture I said to Wes (who happened to be standing next to me). Look at what a good dad he is. He is putting together a barbie puzzle and look there are barbies all over the table. Why don't you play barbies with Brielle? Then I went into a lecture about how lucky he is to have a son so he doesn't have to do the girly stuff enough but he should try harder. THEN I read the caption.

Looks like a great Thanksgiving. And what a fun idea to do gingerbread houses that night!

What fun festivities! You guys are all about the FUN. I love it. And I love how adorably matching your girls always look. It was fun shopping in the wee hours of the morning with you. :)

I'm glad you started the gingerbread house tradition. I was disappointed that we missed it this year. Your pictures all turned out so cute. I'm so proud of Bree standing all on her own. She'll be running before you know it. Your house looks so cute...inside and out!
