Mazatlan

Wednesday morning we woke up in Mazatlan.

We took this little open cab into the shopping area. The cab rides in Mexico are very scary-they earned the nickname "death cabs"! They have no working seat belts and there are really not too many rules of the road-people just do what they want. Kris enjoyed speaking spanish with the driver on the way.

We didn't do an organized excursion in Mazatlan, we just went shopping and went to the beach on our own. It was a lot of fun! We ate at a restaurant overlooking the beach and had DELICIOUS mexican food there and HUGE yummy lemonades!
Mary and I enjoying some fresh mango we bought from one of the vendors passing by. It was WONDERFUL!
Relaxing on the beach-although every two minutes a vendor would walk by and try to sell you something.
The sailboats looked so pretty out on the ocean!

These are some of the little vendor people selling all sorts of goodies along the beach. They are relentless too and had lots of great lines to get you to buy. They would tell you "it's cheaper today than yesterday and tomorrow." They would also start by yelling "everything $1" and then when you found one you liked they would say "no one dollar OFF" If you started to leave they would try and work a deal. It was really funny to watch!

This is what it looks like when you step onto the beach-they are just waiting there ready to pounce!

Mary and I had to get our picture with Mr. Golden Princes.

The view from our balcony as we were leaving the port in Mazatlan. We actually got to wave at people on the shore as we were leaving-just what Mark wanted for his sendoff in LA.

It was always so fun to get freshened up for dinner and the evenings activities. This night we went to some more shows and did some fun line dancing at the western hoe down. It was so fun to dance with my cute hubby! He really doesn't love it-even though he is good at it-but he participated with me and I loved it!Thanks honey! The western hoe down was especially beneficial for our "cruise staff stauking" because we all got to dance with the cruise staff. Mark even got a kiss from Renae! He was thrilled!

I love all the funny pictures you took. They're hilarious! Cruises are the best. I loved not having to worry about food or entertainment. It was all included. Good times.

How fun that you had a balcony, I would've loved to read out there!
